Shortages continue as drivers hunt for petrol

Yesterday the Petrol Retailers Association said 27 percent of outlets were dry – the same percentage as on Wednesday.

Executive director Gordon Balmer said: “Members are taking further deliveries of fuel but this is running out quicker than usual.”

Brexit leader Nigel Farage said his car had been hit by a van as he hunted for petrol. He added: “I went to seven petrol stations this morning and there was no fuel at any of them.”
